First shows, first collections
Most of the people on the FreekÀ runway are showing for the first time. We give them a professional stage before the industry has noticed them.
FreekÀ Runway & event production
FreekÀ Runway is the multicultural runway show I founded in Melbourne in 2015. It's a stage for emerging designers, dancers, artists and musicians, and a celebration of how far our communities have come in this city's creative scene.

Why I started it
Back in 2015 I knew a lot of designers, dancers, artists and musicians in Melbourne who had the work but no runway to show it on. So I built one.
The first show went far better than we expected. The second one was staged for Melbourne Spring Fashion Week in 2016, with a cast drawn from every corner of the city's multicultural creative scene, and The Age came along to cover it. FreekÀ has always been a platform first and a show second. My job is to build the room and then hand the spotlight to the people in it.

Looks walk to live performance. Art and music share the bill with fashion, so the show moves like a show.
The cast and the crowd look like Melbourne. Every collaborator gets named and every designer gets credited.
Event production
I spent years in program management alongside the creative work, so I'm comfortable with budgets, stakeholders and timelines as well as mood boards.
The concept, the story and the look of the show or event, from the first mood board to the final walk.
Venue, staging, lighting and sound, rehearsal schedules, backstage flow and the run sheet that holds it all together.
Designers, models, dancers, musicians and hosts from Melbourne's multicultural creative community.
I can call the show, host it, or do both. Calm on comms and precise on cues.
Launches, community celebrations, cultural programs and brand moments that need a real audience and a point of view.
Budgets, stakeholders, timelines and reporting. I did this for years inside a big university, so nothing about it scares me.
